And the Journey goes on...

Well we have been back from Colorado over a week now and I am just now getting back to my routine.  We came back and went from looking for a Mini-Van to looking for a camper.  This morning Andy went to Rainsville and finally found one that did not have water damage.  :) We leave for the Smokies on the 17th to go camping.

Colorado Trip was absolutely wonderful we had such a great time.  The flight there was pretty stressful and we were exhausted by the time landed and then we got the rental car and went to EAT.  After we left from eating we headed for the hotel and well we got lost.  It was 9:30 our time before we made it to the hotel.

On Sunday, we went to church at Columbine Church of Christ with a close friend (Kaleena Cain Treybig) that had gotten married and moved there.  We went and ate with Kaleena and Giff at a wonderful restaurant but I can't remember the name of it now.   We left there and went to the Rocky Mountain National Park to see snow.  As we were coming through Estes Park we saw Elk in the median at a red light. We could only go 11 miles  down Trail Ridge Road beacause there were 12 to 15 foot snow drifts. The mountains were absolutely beautiful.  I have never seen anything like it and of course pictures dont do it justice. As we were leaving we stopped in at the Beaver Valley Visitors Center.

On Monday, Andy went to his conference and the rest of us went to the Hammond's Candy Factory and the Denver Children's Museum.  It was suppose to rain and never did.  We went back to the hotel and the kids got a great nap and I got laundry done.  We met Andy for supper and Chili's.

On Tuesday, Andy went to his conference and the rest of us went to Canun City to Royal Gorge.  On our way there just north of Colordao Springs we stopped for gas and got caught in a hail storm.  My Father in law was ordering coffee as it was hailing on the guy at McDonald's.  That was such a weird experience.  it had hailed so much that it was freezing to the rodes and looked like snow had just fallen.  We finally made it Royal Gorge and we rode the train through the Gorge and that was so beautiful. We didn't get to see any wildlife but the view from the open train car was awesome. The boys loved riding on the BIG train and we got our picture with the Conductor.  We drove back and met Andy at Casa Bonita in Denver for supper.  The boys absolutely loved eating there.  The cliff divers and the little skits entertained them so much they didn't eat anything.

On Wednesday, Andy went to his conference and the rest of us we stayed around Denver and went to Red Rocks Ampitheatre.  It was another great experience that I am so glad we went to.  It was nothing that I had ever imagined it looking like.  The Rocks were HUGE.  There were 69 rows and all kinds of people there exercising.  The view from the Top was amazing.  The decided to eat there in the Red Rocks Restaurant.  They had a wonderful Tortilla soup and ceaser salad.  :-)  Then we went to Buffalo Bill's Museum and Grave andy got out early and met us there.  We then went and ate at White Fence Farm and had a horrible time.  I was so disappointed in the service and people there.  Just so my kids could have a cup with a lid I was going to have to pay for it.  The served kids drinks in an small coffee like cup (not ideal for kids people).  Then they had an indoor slide area and they were very rude on not letting the boys slide because they were to small.  the lady told me "well they need to eat more chicken" ugh. I will stop talking about that it still makes me mad.

On Thursday,  Andy went to his conference and the rest of us went to the Denver Zoo.  It was Amazing also, the kids loved the monkey's  ;-)  we actually did not finish seeing everything because we were so give out and they were adding more to it.  We met Andy for supper at the Denver Aquarium.

On Friday, Andy went to his conference and the rest of us stayed around the Hotel and packed up so we would not have a lot to do when we got back from our day.  We met Andy at his Conference Hotel and headed off to the Continental Divide.  We Stopped at Echo Lake and FROZE. Then went up to Summit Lake and it was Frozen over and 32 degrees and extremely windy.  we came back down and then to Loveland Pass up to the Continental Divide and back down through the tunnel.  We were able to get our picture at the Continental Divide Sign but were freezing.  They also had about 10-12 foot snow drifts.  As we were coming down the mountain we passed several ski slopes and people were skiing and the boys though it was so neat.

On Saturday, we made our journey back home.  When we landed in Atlanta we heard that a plane had caught on fire on the runway so our plane was late leaving.  Thank goodness though cause our arrival plane was late getting to the gate because of the plane on fire and also had to go from Concourse C to Concourse A (ride the tram to get there)  this was not easy I had to abandon Andy the boys and his parents because my ticket would not print in Denver when we left.  I was so scared that I would not make it and fly back with them.  But we all made it back safe and together.

We had such an amazing trip.  I just wish that Andy could have done everything that we did.  I took over 1300 pictures and wish that I could post them all.  My hope now is to keep being able to travel with him to all his conferences.  hahaha.  Well, I am glad that I was able to remember mostly everything that we did and I am sure I left something out.

Life is full of surprises...

So much ha gone on since I last posted. Which I actually think I posted something after Easter but I guess it never actually posted. So...

The Saturday night we got home from my great Aunt's Memorial Service in Clarksville, TN; we end up at the Hospital with Kyle for two nights. It was a roller coaster of emotions and scary all at the same time. He was having abdominal pain, blood sugar was high (364) and heart rate was like 130-135. He was in a lot if pain for a two year old. They checked him for everything from appendicitis, to intesticitus, to childhood diabetes. They ran CT scan, ultrasound, and x-ray. They also took his blood every four hours. In a 24 hour period they took of 24 vials of blood. We had a check up two weeks go and we still aren't totally sure except for him having constipation. In the CT scan it showed his bowels full of stool. So now we give him miralax at least once a week.

I had a wonderful Mother's day. I got a manicure and peticure gift certificate and plan to use it Thursday!! :) we spent lunch with Andy's mom and then went to see my mom later at church.

Well, we fly out Saturday for Colorado. We are really looking forward to our trip. Hoping that everything goes smooth. But with three kids there are always bumps. Hahaha We will be visiting the Denver Zoo, Hammonds candy factory, Rocky Mountain national park, Royal Gorge, Denver children's museum And probably a Rockies game but not sure yet. The boys are so excited about flying on an airplane.

Please keep us in your prayers as we travel there and back.

So Behind......

Wow!!!  I wrote on my blog last night and got up to date but then it disappearred.  So today I am going to try again.

We have been so busy.  I had someone tell me "well when you get some down time" and I laughed and said what is that. hahaha

We were not able to refinance thanks to our appraisial.  So I am so disppointed I won't get my bedroom furniture yet.  :(

We will be going to to Denver in May for Andy's Conference.  The kids and I are tagging along with him and his parents are going also.  We are looking so forward to that trip.  It is definately a BIG trip for us.  While we are there I will get to see a good friend and can't wait.  We are planning to go to the Denver Zoo, Candy Factory, and several other things.  Please pray that we have a fun and safe trip.

We have been going out on the boat the last few pretty weekends.  2 out of the 3 times we have gone has been horrible but when we went on Monday all the kids were great and had a good time.  Hoping for more fun later this summer.

Monday we received sad new that my great Aunt Elaine Jenkins passed away.  Andy, myself and Adeline will be traveling on Saturday to the Memorial Service in Clarksville, TN.  The boys will be staying with my in laws.

Hoping we have a good Easter with the kids.  This is the first time in 5 years and Andy I have been home for Easter.  We are normally at Lads to Leaders Convention in Nashville, TN.  So we are kind of lost on what to do.  hahaha

Well, I better get off here AGAIN and get somethings done.

Time is flying by...

Wow I can't believe it is April already!! Where did the first three months go.

A year ago this month Andy started his job with TVA in Chattanooga. Since then we have had our house on and of the market several times. We have prayed so hard for it to sell so we could get closer to Chattanooga, but we are so thankful it did not sell quick. We both agree we would have hated moving away from our families. We are staying right where we are in Grant, AL. We have added a few things to the backyard like a swing set for the kids, fire pit and patio for us and then also moved our swing to the backyard. We are enjoying being outside more now.

We hope to close on our refinancing by the 14th of the month and then we are getting new bedroom furniture. Yea yea yea I am so excited. We have waited so long to get it and finally are able to.

We enjoyed the day outside today playing and then this afternoon while Adeline and Kyle napped I was able to clean the floors and do laundry and a few other things inside the house. Did not get everything done but most of it.

Hoping tonight I get better sleep and I sleep all night. I have had this tickle in my throat and it won't go away with me nursing I just can't take anything unfortunately. So most of the time I just deal with it.

6 months and counting...

My baby girl is 6 months old today. She is growing like a weed. She has just begun to show signs of cutting teeth. So some days she is a little on the fussy side. She is doing some better with her Acid reflux and still taking meds for that. We go to her 6 month Check up next week.
She loves her big brothers and watches everywhere they go and just laughs at them. Kyle is so ruff with her where Caleb is gentle and loving. The boys just protect her anytime other kids come around her. It is so sweet. I pray that continues as she gets older.

She will be going on her second trip to the Smokies since she has been born. We are leaving out tomorrow headed to Townsend to stay in a cabin. Andy will be working at Fontana Dam Wednesday and Thursday and me and the kids will be adventuring. :) Not real sure what we will do but it will be fun nonetheless. Friday we will head home sometime. I am looking forward to getting away from everyday life for a few days.

Two Days in a Row...

Can you believe it?? I am writing again today!! Haha

Had such a wonderful time this morning at Ladies Breakfast at Chase Park Church of Christ. It truly was a wonderful uplifting lesson from Brandi! (even though I was rocking Addie to sleep during it). After it was over I helped mom pack up over 100 different Lighthouses in every possible fashion!! I really had no idea she had that many in their house. Anything that had a lighthouse on it it was there this morning. Mom and Nicole you did a great job! Then mom and I left the church at about 11:30 and headed to the Craft Show. Which is our most favorite thing to do!!

Thanks mom for the memories I pray that we have many more of these together with Miss. Addie in tow! I love my mommy time and I hope she will cherish time with me like I do my mom.
Oh the days with all five of us together are the most fun!! Now that Abdy works 10 hour days we get him every Friday! We have gotten lots lots of little projects done around the house the past three weeks. We have bought the kids a swing set, built a fire pit with a brick area around it and now we are moving our swing to the back.

With all the nice weather outside the boys have loved it and so have I not being cramp in the house. Caleb has just become such a bigger helper while Andy has worked outside. And Kyle is just running everywhere he can go!

Today we had pictures taken by my cousin Leah and then had a picnic at Big Spring Park. Oh the boys loved it, well except for the picture part haha. We could not get them both to smile at the same time for nothing. They wanted to through rocks at the fish or climb on the rocks or make silly faces. But that is ok too maybe one day I will get them both smiling. The joys of my boys always makes me smile. We tried to get Adeline to sit for some pictures but just do ready for that.
